April 27-28 at Satbayev University held the second stage of the Republican Subject Olympiad among students studying in the educational program “Mining Engineering”.

On April 27-28 Satbayev University hosted the second round of the Republican Subject Olympiad among students studying in the educational program “Mining Engineering”.

The best students from 12 universities of the country took part in the second round of the Olympiad to check their level of theoretical training.

As part of the event, a tour of the university was organized. Guests were able to see how mining education is conducted at SatbayevUniversity, visited the Mineralogical Museum and the Institute of Military Affairs.

After a break began the Olympiad itself, which included performing test assignments and graphic works. The jury consisted of leading teachers of Satbayev University and representatives of production.

In total there were 28 students representing universities in Almaty, Jezkazgan, Ekibastuz, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kokshetau, Aktobe, Karaganda, Taraz, Rudny and Kyzylorda.

Students of Rudny Industrial Institute won the second round of the Republican Olympiad:

Itesova Anara (Mining-20) took second place,

Mergen Zhazitov (Mining-19) won third place.

The winners were awarded with diplomas and money prizes.
