A practical lesson on the discipline “Destruction of rocks by explosion” was held in the drilling and blasting workshop. The lesson was conducted by the head of the optimization of drilling and blasting operations of JSC “SSGPO” Korotych A.A. The topic of the practical lesson was “Improvement of drilling and blasting operations using new methods of blasting”. Using practical examples, Korotych A.A. showed how to create a dispersed charge, what are water-filled explosives and how to use them, showed how to install an explosive network using waveguides. The students got a good practical experience.

As part of the study of the discipline “Ore preparation for enrichment”, a laboratory lesson was conducted to familiarize with the processing equipment of the ore preparation and enrichment plant of the JSC “SSGPO”. At the crushing site, the classes were conducted by the technologist of the site Chernenko A.I., at the enrichment site – the master for the production of concentrate Davydov A.V. The scheme of the chain and apparatus of the crushing and enrichment sites was considered. Much attention was paid to the design of modern factory equipment. During the lesson, the students were active, showed great interest and asked questions of interest to them.
