PERSPECTIVES OF RII GRADUATES
RII graduates are hired annually
employment of all graduates
Activities for preparing graduates for employment are annually organized by Rudny Industrial Institute. In general, a strategic partnership with employers allows to mutually modernize educational programs, carry out targeted training for students, implement corporate-oriented educational programs, and create branches of departments in production, production facilities and laboratories.
More than 100 enterprises are included into the data bank of work with employers. Rudny Industrial Institute positions itself as a regional higher educational institution. In this regard, the development of corporate cooperation is a priority of our activity. Work with corporate partners includes professional internship for students at the enterprises of the region, participation of representatives of enterprises in conducting lectures and practical classes, conducting final certification of students, reviewing graduation and term papers of students, opening branches of departments at manufacturing plants, reviewing working curricula of specialties, catalogs of elective disciplines, the protection of graduation projects (works) at the enterprises, the implementation of graduation projects and term papers on request of enterprises and others.
In this direction, we also work with enterprises on the provision of grant support to students of the institute. During 2017-2018 academic year, 129 students were trained under the grants of enterprises.
The largest number of students are trained under the grants of SSGPO JSC (61 students), FAO “Aluminum of Kazakhstan” “KBRU” (17 students), LLP “Eltai-4” (14 students), LLP “Sunrise Oriel” (6 students).
This current academic year new grant giver-companies have appeared too. Thus, a high efficiency of this cooperation allows to position Rudny Industrial Institute on the educational services market from the best side.

April 12, 2018 Rudny Industrial Institute hosted the Career Day for graduates of RII-2018.
Career Day is a kind of platform for meeting employers and young professionals – students and graduates, where employers offer open vacancies and select candidates among graduates.
Career Day helps graduates to decide on the vector of their future career and answer the question: which professional way to choose after RII.
Representatives of more than 30 enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, graduates of the Industrial Institute of Rudny took part in the work of the Graduates Career Day.
Vice-Rector for R&AA Larissa Bozhko addressed the event with a welcoming speech.
Certificates “Trust in the employer” were presented to representatives of enterprises where according to monitoring data the highest percentage of employment of graduates of the RII is observed and new corporate partners of the university: SSGPO ”JSC,“ KEGOC ”JSC,“ Aluminum of Kazakhstan ”KBRU JSC,“ Arasan ”filial branch of Rudny LLP, “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP ”,“ SaryarkaAutoProm ”LLP.
Students of the institute had the opportunity to ask the specialists of the enterprises questions of interest, get detailed information about the enterprises of the city and region, leave their resumes and make the right decision regarding the choice of their future place of work.
“Самрук-Қазына” JSC invites students of Rudny Industrial Institute to take part in the internship program.
Graduates of 2017 are invited to participate (bachelor, master) wishing to become professionals and begin their careers in the best national campaigns of RK.
In the framework of the program “Zhas Orken”, training sessions will be held on the basis of the Corporate University and with the support of the business partners of Samruk-Kazyna Foundation – Deloitte and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The mandatory component of the Program is five-month internships in the divisions of the Fund’s companies for 2 years under the mentorship of the top managers of the companies. The winners of the competition will be paid a monthly stipend, paid travel to the place of training and accommodation.

April 11, 2017 The Industrial Institute of Rudny has signed a Letter of Intent with the “Eurasian Group” LLP. The purpose of this Protocol is to form the basis for cooperation aimed at the implementation of the project “Creating an Ecosystem of Youth Entrepreneurship in a Student Environment”.
As part of the project, students of the Rudny Industrial Institute will attend seminars on practical entrepreneurship, take part in the Kemel Kaspker business case championship, take part in the Arlan business camp and have the opportunity to prepare projects for development within the framework of Anactus.
In order to develop effective courses on entrepreneurship, the institute will also be trained. The training will be conducted by leading Tel Aviv University lecturers.
Thus, participation in the project will allow university students to reveal their entrepreneurial potential, as well as acquire knowledge and skills that will be in demand, regardless of the further professional path.
Annually, within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation signed between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PSA LLP, NCOC N.V., KPO BV and the KAZENERGY Association, signed on September 29, 2015, candidates for tuition fees are selected by funds allocated under the North Caspian and Karachaganak projects.
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are admitted and are enrolled in popular specialties in the oil and gas and energy sectors can take part in the competition:
- graduates of secondary schools, gymnasiums, specialized schools, HEIs and colleges;
- HEIs and colleges students.
- Conditions of participation for persons that got and study into colleges:
- Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Compliance with the average score of the certificate of basic secondary education at least 4.0 (out of 5.0) or a general secondary education certificate at least 80% of the maximum value established by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES RK);
- UNT / CT * certificate not less than 60% of the maximum value set by MES RK;
- Compliance with the average student achievement score of at least 4.5 (out of 5.0);
- Submission from students / students of a certificate of enrollment / training (with an indication of the cost of education for one academic school year established for legal entities to pay, course and form of education, lack of financial debt) with a signature (on the official form of an educational institution or stamped seal).
- Conditions of participation for persons that got and study into HEIs:
Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Compliance with the average secondary education certificate not less than 80% of the maximum value set by the MES RK and / or compliance with the UNT / CT certificate at least 60% of the maximum value set by the MES RK;
- Compliance with GPA in a diploma of at least 4.5 (out of 5.0) or PRA at least 3.33 (B +);
- submission from students / students of a certificate of enrollment / training (with an indication of the cost of training for one academic school year set for legal entities to pay, course and form of education, lack of financial debt) with a signature (on the official university letterhead or notarized seal);
- In addition to all of the above documents, a candidate for a master’s degree in a master’s degree abroad is a motivation letter in the state / Russian / English language, representing an essay of 1-2 pages (no more than 4,000 characters), in which the candidate tells about his academic interests, experience and achievements, life position and goals.
The motivation letter must contain, but not limited to, a reasonable answer to three main questions:

- Why I decided to enroll for studying programme on the chosen specialty?
- Why am I fit to studying on the chosen programme?
- What special, unparalleled and impressive in my experience?
Acceptance and registration of documents to participation in competition is carried out:
- From July 10 to August 15, 2018 (for persons that continue studying);
- From July 10 to August 25, 2018 (for applicants).

Reviewing of applicants’ documents is carried out during 20 calendar days as from the date of documents acceptance.
Applicant list that made the cut will be posted on the KAZENERGY Association website following a protocol decision of the Commission.
Students of the institute were given the opportunity to ask the representatives of enterprises questions of interest, get detailed information about the enterprises of the city and region, leave their resumes and make the right decision regarding the choice of a future job.
Representatives of more than 23 enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, graduates of educational institutions, representatives of the Rudny Department of Employment and Social Programs took part in the “Job Fair” for graduates;

In working with corporate partners a special attention is paid to the employment of graduates. In order to enhance the graduates’ employment process, the following events were held: general curatorial hour of students with representatives of enterprises, curatorial hours on the topic “Employment: how to be prepared for it?”, Preliminary distribution of graduates, participation in the city and regional job fair, award competitions grants and scholarships of SSGPO JSC, Aluminum of Kazakhstan JSC, a branch of the KBRU.
On the 9th of December 2017 Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Independent Observer of the Supervisory Board of the Rudny Industrial Institute; Honorary Professor of the Rudny Industrial Institute; Doctor of Economics Rau Albert Pavlovich traditionally gave a lecture for RII students and teachers. The topic of the lecture: “Digital Kazakhstan” in the context of the development of Industry 4.0.
During the lecture Rau A.P. spoke about the main provisions of the State Program “Digital Kazakhstan”, reviewed the prerequisites for introducing elements of Industry 4.0 at the largest enterprises of Kazakhstan, discussed in more detail the relevance of implementing Industry 4.0, and also informed those present about the set of measures taken in Kazakhstan to introduce -industry elements Industry 4.0 until 2025 and the need for training for the implementation of the plans.
The lecture was interesting and entertaining. Albert Pavlovich gave many examples from his personal experience, shared his impressions of visiting advanced foreign enterprises, gave recommendations to students about their studies at the institute, focused on the need for students to better develop information technologies and introduce modern software products into the educational process. Students asked the lecturer questions.
At the end of the lecture Rau A.P. traditionally handed in a nominal grant in the amount of 450 thousand tenge was awarded to the 2nd year student of the specialty Vocational Training Karabalina Diana.
The rector of the Rudny Industrial Institute, A.Nayzabekov thanked Rau A.P. for a very useful and interesting lecture as well as congratulated him on the award of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2017 in the field of science and technology named after Al-Farabi, and also presented the nominal statuet of the winner of the “Patron in Educational Organizations – 2017” competition held by the regional committee of the trade union of education and science workers of Kostanay region.

Today, the international group KNAUF is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in the world. Initially, the company engaged in the processing of natural gypsum, KNAUF turned into a group of companies offering solutions in the field of dry construction, insulation and building mixes.
In October 2016 Experts of “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP visited Rudny Industrial Institute. Enterprise with the participation of DAG – Deutsche Investments and Entviklungsgesellschaft mbH ”: Head of the Training Center Sotnikov O. and regional manager for Kostanay region Korotych S.
Cooperation with “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP is implemented as part of the implementation of the Development Strategy of the Rudny Industrial Institute for 2016-2019.
During the visit, a Cooperation Agreement was prepared, under which the Rudny Industrial Institute and “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP ”committed themselves by combining professional knowledge, business reputation and efforts to work together and cooperate in the development of finishing production technologies using progressive KNAUF materials and their implementation in construction, as well as improving the system of training and retraining of specialists in occupations related to the use of materials and KNAUF technologies. Cooperation will be implemented in the framework of the educational programs “Building” and “Production of Building Materials, Products and Structures”
Representatives of “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP got acquainted with the material and technical base of the department of construction and building materials, visited educational laboratories, held master classes for students and teachers of the department.
Micromine is one of the world leaders among developers of innovative solutions and services in the field of software for geological exploration and mining. Micromine offers effective solutions in computer systems and technologies for all processes, ranging from geological exploration (such as documentation, interpretation, visualization, modeling, evaluation and data management) to design, development, monitoring and reporting in the mining industry.
On November 11, 2016 at the Industrial Institute of Rudny, the Micromine class was opened and a presentation of the Geological and Mining Information System (GMIS) Micromine program, donated to our university, was held.

Production Innovation Company ASTANA Yutaria ltd LLP is a national investor in the development of the Free Economic Zone Astana-New City. The company has implemented the construction of the Automated Commerce and Production Complex KazTexExpo in the Industrial Park. Stepping out of the light industry to mechanical engineering, the company, having built an industrial complex of over 7,000 sq. M. equipment brand “ZOJE” for enterprises of Kazakhstan and the CIS.
The Industrial Institute of Rudny concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with ASTANA UTARIA PIK LLP.
As part of this Memorandum, the cooperating parties committed themselves by combining professional knowledge, business reputation and efforts to work together and cooperate in improving the system of training and retraining of personnel in the field of “Technology and Design of Light Industry Products” and “Design”.

Cooperation with Kazakhstan office of Microsoft
Initially, a bet was made on the development of the specialty “Information Systems” with the spread of animation effect on other specialties of the institute.
Office 365 software purchased for 110 workplaces with free access for all students of the institute.
Previously, a license was purchased for participation in MICROSOFT IMAGINE ACADEMY to include these courses in the working curriculum of the specialty “Information Systems”. This software was used in the conduct of the discipline “Information and Communication Technologies” for freshman-year students of the institute.
In April 2018 a discussion was held on further areas of cooperation with company representatives. As part of the on-line presentation, Microsoft Nurlan Zhanybek, Head of Server Applications at Microsoft, spoke about Microsoft software and hardware, the Microsoft Imagine Academy functionality.
Cooperation directions:
- Work within the Microsoft Imagine Academy, which provides state-of-the-art curriculum and resources for teaching and certifying students and teachers in Microsoft technologies and products. Students learn valuable skills for study and professional activities. These skills will help them succeed in the growing computerization of the global economy in the following areas:

Data science and analytics – fundamental concepts and data science tools,
Performance – popular office applications acquirement to improve business productivity
The Microsoft Imagine Academy learning programs are organized so that students and lecturers can consistently receive certificates and skills recognized by employers and necessary for their future career.

A cooperation agreement dated 10/10/2016 was concluded, under which the Rudny Industrial Institute and “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP committed themselves by combining professional knowledge, business reputation and efforts to work together and cooperate in the development of finishing technologies using progressive materials and their implementation in construction, as well as improving the system of training and retraining of specialists in professions related to the use of materials and technologies KNAUF.
Cooperation is carried out within specialties «Production of building Materials, Products and Structures” and “Building”.
February 27, 2018 The opening of the Consulting Center of the company KnaufGips KG (KNAUF) took place at the base of the Department of Construction and Materials Engineering, established within the framework of the cooperation of the Industrial Institute of Rudny and the KNAUF industrial group in Kazakhstan. The event was attended by the Deputy of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rau., A, Head of the Training Center “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP. Sotnikova.O, regional manager “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP. Enterprise with the participation of DEG “in Kostanay region Korotych.S, representatives of educational institutions and construction companies region.
In the period from February 27 to March 1, 2018. 10 students of the institute were trained in the Training Center “Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP. The company with the participation of DEG “program” Dry building -Finishing premises using KNAUF sheet materials (device partitions, suspended ceilings, wall coverings) “and received certificates of international standard.
“Knauf Gips Kapchagay” LLP donated materials, tools, educational literature, visual aids, special clothing for the amount of 2.5 million KZT to the institute.
Currently, the institute has prepared an application for participation in a project on dual training in colleges and universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in construction specialties of 3 years duration, initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation Germany together with Knauf Company.
In the current academic year, 114 students of RII are studying at the expense of enterprises that are corporate partners of HEI.
The largest number of students are enrolled in the grants “SSGPO” JSC (52 students), “Aluminum of Kazakhstan” KBRU FAO (17 students), “Eltay-4” LLP (14 students), “BOCXOD Oriel” LLP (6 students).

From 02 to 06 April 2018 Students of 2-3 courses of the specialty “Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies” of the Rudny Industrial Institute within the framework of the educational program “Innovative production and automation of industrial equipment” underwent an internship on the basis of “SaryarkaAvtoProm” LLP.
The internship program included the study of such issues as safety and labor protection, fire safety, modern electric cars, modern welding technologies for the car body, modern car body painting technologies, the main stages of the car assembly technology, and the main stages of the CKD / SKD car production. The classes were conducted by leading specialists of the enterprise, excursions and training seminars were organized for the students.
As part of the production internship on the basis of “SaryarkaAvtoProm” LLP for 2 students, a meeting was organized with the deputies of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rau.A and Bizhanova.G. The topics of the meeting included the implementation of elements of Industry 4.0 and social modernization of Kazakhstan.
All students received certificates following their apprenticeship at “SaryarkaAvtoProm” LLP.
In May-June 2018 for the first time, 6 students of the specialty “Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies” have passed technological practice on the basis of “SaryarkaAvtoProm” LLP.

According to the results of the meeting, it was decided to continue cooperation of the Industrial Institute of Rudny and JSC “SSGPO” in such areas as:
- Continuing positive experience of cooperation of RII and “SSGPO” JSC on the organization and conduct of the educational process, career guidance work in specialties that are in demand in the enterprise units. To organize the protection of graduation projects (works) of students – graduates of 2018 on the basis of the Training Center for Personnel Training “SSGPO” JSC in June 2018.
To continue the cooperation of RII and SSGPO JSC in the framework of the project “Creating an Ecosystem of Youth Entrepreneurship in a Student Environment” as part of development of youth entrepreneurship at the management level, “SSGPO” JSC received support from 2 business projects of students:
“Through the city with bicycles” project (total cost 6 530 000 KZT),
“Production of kit attachments with logo “SSGPO” JSC” project (total cost 16 887 394 KZT).
Also, with the support of “SSGPO” JSC the 2nd year student of the specialty “Building” Pavel Pustotin will continue the implementation of the business project “Decoupage- designer’s décor of walls”.
- Consider the possibility of further funding the project to create the Open Youth League CMI (Club of the Merry and Inventive) “SSGPO-RII”, which became the joint brainchild of “SSGPO” JSC and RII, uniting the CMI teams not only in Rudny, but in Kostanay region.
- Organize an internship for the representatives of the student press center RII in the TV and Radio Company “TVS”.
- Prepare a program of excursions to the “SSGPO” JSC divisions for freshmen.
- Consideration of the possibility of the participation of RII students in the “Factory of ideas” project, implemented by the management of “SSGPO” JSC.
- Carrying out of work for equipping the laboratory “Occupational health and safety” (equipped with the “SSGPO” JSC) special clothing and protective equipment used in “SSGPO” JSC.
- Designing of the laboratory “Occupational health and safety” (equipped with funds from SSGPO JSC), taking into account the corporate style of SSGPO JSC.
- To combine academic training at HEI and the practical experience of the mining enterprise, make adjustments to the software of the acquired equipment based on the operating parameters of this equipment in the SSGPO JSC divisions.
- Implement the program “Focus on safety – new trend in production” for the faculty members of RII (in the areas of labor protect, bold leadership, lean-academy) with the subsequent adjustment of the work programs for the course “Labor protection”.
- In May 2018, organize the work of the Expert Council on the accreditation of practical skills of RII students, consisting of specialists from SSGPO JSC and leading HEI lecturers.
- Organize continuous interaction according to the “HEI-enterprise” scheme in order to receive recommendations from SSGPO JSC specialists on improving the educational programs of the institute, introducing digital technologies into the educational process of HEI students, and replenishing the educational and laboratory facilities of the institute.
- To strengthen the connection between production and the educational process, organize a course of lectures for students of the institute with the participation of directors of departments (followed by practical familiarization of students with the work of the departments of SSGPO JSC).
- In order to familiarize students with “SSGPO” JSC, strengthen the practical orientation of the educational process at the university by transferring its part to production, open branches of Mining and Metallurgy, and Electro-power Industry and Heat-engineering RII departments at the “SSGPO” base.

PROGRAMS FOR EMPLOYMENT OF GRADUATES
The program “With a diploma to a village!” provides a graduate with a one-time lifting allowance in the amount of 70 MCI, a budget loan for a period of 15 years, an increase of salary at least 25%. During five years of the program’s implementation 30 667 young specialists participated in this program.
For participating in the program you need:
• independently find work in the chosen village (rural school, hospital, House of Culture, sports complexes, etc.);
• when applying for a job, the candidate submits an application for participation in the program to the district commission;
• in the absence of the possibility of an independent job search, you can contact the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan or senior officials in the regions;

In order to successfully socialize young professionals, gain professional experience, the opportunity to express themselves and get a further job, the state also offers graduates “Youth practice”. Wages to program participants within 6 months are paid from the state budget (18 MCI). During this time, the employer has the opportunity to determine the ability of a potential employee and adapt the specialist to the requirements of the organization.
To participate in the program, the graduate must:

With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Nur Otan party, the project “Youth personnel reserve” is being implemented. This project is aimed at identifying, selecting, training and educating the country’s managerial personnel from among the young and talented Kazakhstanis. For 6 years of the project, more than 10 thousand young specialists have applied for participation in it. 372 people went to the open competitive selection, testing, internships in various organizations. According to the results of participation in the project, more than 40% of the participants changed their jobs and more than half were rotated from the district level to the regional level, from the city / regional level to the republican level.
The project implementation involves identifying, selecting, training and educating the managerial personnel of the country from among young specialists and including into socially significant activities in three areas:
1. Public service.
2. Business community.
3. Social and political activities.
According to the results of the project, 32 competitors who have scored the highest rating will receive a certificate and will be enrolled in the personnel reserve, which is a recommendation for considering the promotion of a reservist for a higher position when entering the public service, business and public activity.

The public association “RII graduates’ club” was founded in 2008. The initiators of the creation were 10 graduates working in the RII and already in 2009 the Alumni Forum was held, but more than 200 people who graduated from the RII and worked in various industrial enterprises of our Republic, Russia, Ukraine and Germany gathered together.
- Uniting RII graduates to preserve a sense of unity and corporatism, strengthen and develop traditions, as well as to provide moral and material assistance to the institute from graduates;
- Assistance in the implementation of scientific, research and production programs, the solution of urgent tasks that contribute to the growth of the quality of training of specialists demanded at the labor market;
- Social and legal protection, financial strengthening and improving the welfare of students, lecturers and graduates of the Institute.
- Assistance in financing the purchase of equipment, multimedia equipment necessary for the educational process and conducting research;

Presently Head of “RII graduates’ club” is Kuzmin Sergey, he graduated from our HEI in 1990 for major “Technology and comprehensive mineral processing by surface way”, Dean of the Department of Mining and Metallurgy.
Currently, about 500 people who graduated from our HEI in different years are members of PA “RII graduates’ club”. Recently, the association provides financial support to the majority of mass events held in the RII and assists in training students from low-income families, holds meetings of graduates in our institute. Since 2014, our public association has been annually engaged in advocacy work on a grant from the Akimat of Rudny.
