Liaising with employers is an important component of the educational process for construction specialities.

Rudny Metal Construction Plant – Imstalcon LLP has half a century of experience in manufacturing steel building structures of any complexity.

For students of the educational programme “Construction of Buildings and Structures” a field trip to the enterprise was organised.

The head of the technical department Shapovalova Olga Nikolaevna told about the developments of designers, about the transfer of drawings to the production site of the plant for the manufacture of metal parts, which are subsequently sent to the installation of structures.

At the production sites the chief engineer Ryabukha Nikolay Kirillovich familiarised with the equipment of the plant. Students observed the work of plasma and laser cutters, bending presses, welding machines and machines for surface treatment.

The director of the enterprise Shcherbina Petr Petrovich familiarised the students with the main activity of the enterprise, told about the history of the origin of the plant, answered their questions. The head of the enterprise noted that the process of production of metal structures requires high precision, ability to perform and read drawings competently, knowledge of the work of numerous equipment. The students were convinced that automation and computerisation of separate stages of production significantly accelerates and improves the quality of the processes of development and manufacturing of metal structures.
